Spinnakers reopening 2020
Governor Raimondo has advised the State to “Go Slow and Steady” and that will be our model for ReOpening for the 2020 Season!
We chose Monday, May 18 to open in order to help both staff and customers ease their way into our own Phase 1 way of business.
Food will available for take-out only. You may place your order and pay here on our website, utilizing our contactless payment system, and will be available for curbside pickup. Phone orders and walk-ups are always welcome. If you are picking up curbside, please call us once you are here at 423-3077, and we will bring it to your car!
Ice cream will still be available at our traditional service window. We have added new signage and erected stanchions for proper traffic flow to maintain social distancing while ordering. We would ask that you please wear your mask while in line and at the window for everyone’s safety.
During this first phase, we will be only be offering individual cones and cups – NO TOPPINGS, SUNDAES, SHAKES. We need to keep the line as streamlined as possible for social distancing, and also because we simply cannot have as many workers in our ice cream area for staff distancing purposes. Please bear with us while we work to add as many as your favorites as we can.
However, it is possible to order take-out pints and quarts by calling us (401-423-3077) at least an hour ahead of time and we will bring it out curbside.
We must limit staff in both our ice-cream area and our kitchen. So please be patient as we adjust to our new workflows. This is a learning period and we’re doing our best to adjust as we go!
Finally, a word about outdoor dining. Do to our being a “counter service” restaurant, it is best to function with pick up only, for now. We are working with the State to quickly achieve updated guidance that will permit us to once again provide our waterfront seats.
2020 kicks off our 16th season – and we are very happy we are here!!
